Sequins are disk-shaped, flat beads used for decorative purposes. In earlier centuries, they were made from shiny metals. Today, sequins are most often made from plastic. They are available in a wide variety of colors and geometrical shapes.

Sequins in our crafting world are incorporated into shaker boxes, shaker cards and used solo to add accents. Glossy Accents or Multi Medium are excellent adhesives to use when using sequins by themselves as an accent.

Sequins can also referred to as spangles, paillettes, or diamantes. Traditional sequins have a center hole, while spangles have the hole located at the top. Paillettes themselves are commonly very large and flat.

Most sequins in the store are made with multiple facets and cupped, to increase their reflective ability.
