Game Pieces from Tim Holtz
Product Description
Wood, bingo-style tiles - 90 pieces.
Each tile is approx. 11/16" in diameter and just shy of 1/4" in thickness. The wood is a light oak color; the numbers and rims are pleasing red. The obverse (back) is blank.
The grouping of ninety (90) assorted game pieces range between one and 99.
These wooden circular tiles can be used in a multitude of ways: secure magnets on the back for refrigerator or file cabinet fun. Use in titles or borders of scrapbook pages, or as singular embellishments; add to covers of journals - great for layering onto other objects. Install small screw-eyes for jump rings or wire and create a funky bracelet or to dangle from a journal spine. Try adding to tags for an instant focal point.
Design is scaled well for use on handmade cards; a wide array of uses in the altered book arena.
Wooden tiles can be altered in color with dye-based re-inkers as well as stamping inks; a host of products developed by Ranger Industries (Color Washes, Distress Stains, to name just a few) work exceptionally well.
Tiles can be aged and distressed by hitting with a hammer, ice pick, and so forth, then staining - emphasizing the dent marks to create a vintage patina.
