7gypsies Brushed Silver Shaker Escutcheon - pkg of 1
Product Description
A beautifully detailed, very vintage, brushed silver metal escutcheon.
An escutcheon is a protective or ornamental plate around a keyhole. This one features detailed inlay work on a matte black background.
4" tall and 1-1/8" wide. Depth of the plate is 3/32".
The plate is mounted with two extremely heavy duty metal prongs, similar to brads but longer (3/8") and heavier, thicker metal.
Keyhole is completely cut out, as is a small square hole above, where the doorknob would be. On this piece, one can use a knob of preference, or a 7gypsies knob, or even one made from polymer clay (perhaps one marbelized?!). A beautifully detailed, quality piece.
Once mounted this product is decorative. To become fully functional a knob or other pull device would need to be installed.
Use on cigar or paper maché boxes. Use as a decorative element on a journal or on a scrapbook page. Use on the spine of a book or on a small box.
