7gypsies Brushed Silver Plain Escutcheon - pkg of 1
Product Description
A beautifully simple, very vintage, brushed silver, metal escutcheon.
An escutcheon is a protective or ornamental plate around a keyhole. 4" tall and 1-1/8" wide. Depth of the plate is 3/32". Tiny faux screws are placed at each corner, and the surface has a nice, subtle bevel.
The plate is mounted with two extremely heavy duty metal prongs, similar to brads but longer (3/8") and heavier, thicker metal.
Keyhole is completely cut out, as is a small square hole above, where the doorknob would be.
With this piece, one can use a knob of preference: a 7gypsies knob, or even one made from polymer clay (perhaps one marbelized?!).
Once mounted this quality piece is decorative. To become fully functional install a knob or other pull device - wide range of knobs available here at StarLitStudio.
Use on cigar or paper maché boxes. Use as a decorative element on a journal or on a scrapbook page. Use on the spine of a book or on a small box.
